THERE ARE TWO BASIC VALUE SYSTEMS IN PAINTING INTRINSIC AND EXTRINSIC MOST 20th CENTURY PAINTING ARE BASED ON EXPERIMENTAL EXTRINSIC PHILOSOPHY AND HAVE VERY LITTLE INTRINSIC VALUE.THIS IS BECAUSE PICASSO BROKE THE AESTHETIC BARRIER IN 1907 WITH HIS PAINTING LES DEMOISELLES DE AVIGION THIS PAINTING STATED THAT CONTRIVED AESTHETICS ARE NOT A VALID CRITERIA FOR PAINTING THIS IS TRUE BUT NO CONTRIVED AESTHETIC DOES NOT MEAN NO AESTHETIC. IT IS CALLED THE UNIVERSAL INTUITIVE AESTHETIC OF COLOR FORM ASSERTION THIS AESTHETIC IS NOT CONTRIVED(CONNOTATIVE)BUT INTUITIVE AND SPONTANEOUS IT HAS BEN AROUND AS LONG AS MAN BUT THE 20th CENTURY NEGLECTED IT AND TRIED EXPERIMENTAL CONTRIVED AESTHETICS MOST 20th CENTURY ART CRITERIA IS BS IT IS NOT BASED ON TRUE AESTHETICS AND MOST OF THE PAINTINGS OF THE 20TH CENTURY ARE BASED ON PHILOSOPHICAL IDEAS THAT ARE PLANTED IN YOUR MIND BY ART CRITICS HYPE TO MAKE YOU THINK YOU ARE SEEING SOMETHING THAT IS NOT THERE OR A LEAST IS NOT INTUTIVE, SEE MY VIDEO BELOW, ABOUT ONE WORK BY PICASSO FOR EXAMPLE.

Fine Art Criteria of the 20th Century was never given a viable perimeter For Visual Aesthetic discretion.The term aesthetic in the 20th Century on longer has a true denotation only the connotations of individuals in high places in the art world(Is this not what Picasso fought against in1907) Therefore 20th Century art has a less coherent visual language then the Geometric Aesthetic of the late renaissance. Most 20th Century landmark Fine painting became more or less an attempt at the expression of an abstract philosophical concepts in visual terms.Even the abstract expressionists( of whom I was a member) failed at this to a large degree because of the existential philosophy of the 20th century there was a neglect of intuitive aesthetic visual syntax.This resulted in experimental expression of abstract philosophical concepts in a visual context with only connotative aesthetics. Abstract Expressionism became much to esoteric in its symbolism and definition.Color Form Assertion is the antithesis of this existential connotative aesthetic and expresses a true denotative intuitive Aesthetic.
